Perhaps the police should first test their stun guns on themselves. After all, if it is supposed to be harmless no harm would come to them, right?

Yelling for Jesus does not qualify as violent behaviour, but the police's over-reaction certainly does. These taser/stun-gun things are proving to be more of a menace than a help in police hands.
