As a bartender making my living dispensing alcohol to individuals who are too often prone to over-indulge, or at least attempt to under my watch, I strongly support the idea of legalization of cannabis. No individual has ever died from an administered overdose. I'm not saying there has never been a casualty caused by an impaired individual, but rather that no individual has died, to the best of our ability to document it, as the result of consumption. The same cannot be said of alcohol. I'm only a cat mom...but the cats have their weed so why shouldn't humans be allowed to have theirs? .  *chuckle chuckle* I worked in the psychiatric/substance abuse ER. Right now, 99% of the people cannot 'grow their own due to extremely harsh prison sentences. I know 2 medicinal users, one with MS, the other with cancer who can grow their own and they say it's not that difficult or expensive. I have a feeling if the laws were changed to what they should be, you would see a whole lot of horticulture going on in record time. As far as quali... No-One should really make money from the stuff as it is a natural plant same as anything that comes from the ground no-one really owns it. As the work i do is very stressful, i tried everything the doc told me to try to calm me down and i dint work, but this stuff actually works so well. Look, if you legalize it, yeah... people will grow it. But there are a lot more people who will be happy to buy it from the manufacturers who grow it. But of course, that will require government regulation. Our capitalist society generally isn't designed to allow people to be self-sufficient to grow and harvest their own food and necessities.
