righthand says: If I was choosing a candidate for sainthood, then there would be one at the top of my list and with a big gap to the next candidate. Saint Nelson, the peacemaker sounds good to me! Now remember, officially he's a terrorist! ! ! I say this on the tenth anniversary of the signing of the Good Friday Peace Agreement. Seems like yesterday the Thatcher was railing against the terrorist Mandela. "embarrassing" indeed. double time embarassment. first 4 titling freedom fighters as terrorists (which of course happenns in so many places all over the globe) and second 4 the shame of being so stuck with your own biased preconceived opinions & prejudice (which of course happens in so many places even out of America the leader of the free World)) !! good clip. oops, maybe i have mistaken US government with the British .... Anyway, it seems they work in a very high standard, efficient responsive & intelligent: after 18 years Mandela already been the president of South Africa, they conclude it's time 2change his status as a terrorist and take down his travel restrictions !??...... )) I like our former president, he is a good man. He falls into the category of people in this world who now can do no wrong in the public eye, others include Mother Teresa (deceased) and Princess Diane (deceased). Recently they had a vote for the best South African, and they assumed that he would win anyway, that they told the population that they already know that Nelson would win, but they should vote for the other great South Africans. Needless to say he was voted as the Best South African. Some random information, my friend was so lucky to have Nelson come to here house. She was studding with someone who knew him (a niece of someone… can’t remember who), and said come around to my hous... How about the prize for the man/woman who single-handily is responsible for saving the most lives in bloodshed? However bad it may be for some grumblers, if you think about the probability for mayhem in South Africa, then there can be only one candidate, don't you think. As important as his contribution to South Africa is the immense contribution he's had where ever he's been allowed use his influence. I'm not religious but if I was choosing a candidate for sainthood, then there would be one at the top of my list and with a big gap to the next candidate. Saint Nelson, the peacemaker sounds good to me! Now remember, officially he's a terrorist! ! ! I say this on the tenth anniversary of the signing of the Good Friday Peace Agreement. |
