I have the idea that it's only a matter of time before things such as 'tools on the 'War on terror' will be available for use on U.S. citizens who are a 'Threat to National Security' if they aren't already. If the Republicans win the next election the American people are in great danger. That's not to mention the rest on the world. I can't imagine there being much difference if the Democrats win. Only the 'Leaders' have their heads above the quicksand.
The puppet masters are prepared to go to any length whatsoever to further entrench their position. They are fools to think their transient luxuries can last beyond their lifetimes. Meanwhile anyone between them and what they mistakenly believe is 'Absolute Power' is wiped away like dirt.
Woe betide the Planet if China decides the Middle East is a prime energy source. They can send their army in through Afghanistan.
