Didn't those laws help Israel prosecute Nazi war criminals decades after the war was over? Interesting.... Israel already has the option of unjustified First Strike against their enemies, real or imagined (something that Iran doesn't have; "No First Strikes" is enshrined in their constitution). What else could they want? The right to pick up random people in the world and torture them for "terrorism intel"? The War against Terror is a load of bullshite; an excuse for right-wing fascists to steal away people's civil rights and feed their military-industrial complexes. Time to stop all these silly wars against concepts. What I find interesting is that Israeli people are actually beginning to rebel against their Government on these issues and support the Palestinians (for example), something is gradually changing there!! Yes, thanks to the global exchange of information, the Israeli people are starting to see past the filters imposed on them by their government and their media, to see just what their government and military are doing, and like any good people faced with atrocities being done in their name, they're saying "WTF!!" Just as the Nazis were just a small minority of the German People during WWII, the Israelis doing these horrible things to their neighbours are a small minority as well. It's good to hear that the majority is starting to make their will known in this ethical issue. |
