Hmmm, I'd be suspicious. yikes!!! Look out for Big Brother... Have you read 1984 by George Orwell? He predicted LONG time ago this kind of thing. My grandfather D.C. Somervell was a historian (he even figures here in Wikipedis! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D._C._Somervell He annotated Arnold Toynbees multiple volume History of Civilization into a 2 volume, more 'palatble' read)and the book freaked him out bad "Throw away this (?) horrible book" he wrote on the cover!!! Honestly, I have this premonition that Facebook is really a civilian version of what the intelligence community has had for a long time. Released to the public so that we can be conditioned and desensitized to the concept of perpetual surveillance. I would keep a closer eye on Google, honestly. They became the world's darling tech company under the facade of a formidable competitor to Microsoft, which is total rubbish. It's like Republican vs. Democrat: the illusion of choice between the same end result. I wouldn't worry too much about it simply because you can't stop it. For the people by the people is long gone. When the crap hits the fan, there won't be any computers anymore anyway. Just ask the poor folks in Kentucky. |
