AtlLiberal says: How that for hyperbole. I suppose the Vatican's close association with Hitler was simply an oops? But a chocolate Jesus, now that's really serious. What a bunch of BS... Let's hear it again for religion triumphing over reason. Ugh! Bill Donohue like to see his name in the paper and his face on TV. My wife's family is Catholic and they don't know who this guy is. In fact they are surprised to hear that he is Catholic after hearing him talk. Laceym, you're probably right. I've never hear of him either. When I first skimmed the article I was left wondering why Phil Donohue would be taking this position. After a more careful reading I saw the error of my ways. I had a good laugh then at my expense... I was confused on why Sam Harris, the singer from Star Search, was writing books. HA! What I find truly hilarious is after I first clipped an article about this scrumpdillyumtious sculpture, I was engaging in discussion here at clipmarks about the myriad possible statements that the artist may have intended. One of my suggestions was that perhaps the artist was not sacreligious at all! perhaps he was very religious, and making a statement about the pagan celebration of (so called) Easter. I was heartily (and soundly) nay said. (sp??) Then when the intervies was aired, it turned out that was exactly what the artist intended! I 'bout fell out of my chair. I'm still laughing. |
