I think its foolish to think we know whats best for the earth ,there is so much we don't know for sure in science and about the earth I think its foolish to think we know whats best for the earthOf course that statement could apply to both sides of the GW argument. In the end we have to base decisions we make on our various actions on this planet on our "best judgement", we will not always be right, but when faced with a possible outcome of disastrous consequences for many people from a "do nothing" policy, it would seem to be prudent to take some action. but when faced with a possible outcome of disastrous consequences forIn most cases SOME action leads to disastrous consequences. So, opposing GW alarmism to prevent alarmists from taking SOME action, does not mean "doing nothing". There are plenty of things we could spend our money on involving real pollution. Instead of focusing everything on something that may or may not be happening and something that if it is happening we may or may not be able to do anything significant about. There is real pollution and real environmental problems we could be working on while scientists try to work out what is happening with our long term global climate. In most cases SOME action leads to disastrous consequences.Imo in itself this is totally not true and also alarmist. As i said we have to use our best judgement when dealing with this. There are plenty of things we could spend our money on involving real pollutionOf corse there are and the whole point of any sensible approach to the problem of GW, manmade or not, is to do this. . it would seem to be prudent to take some action.and not this.. focusing everything on something that may or may not be happening |
