invictus says: Original BBC Radio broadcast MP3s of Douglas Adams' "The Hitchiker's Guide to Galaxy" Is this the entire book/radio broadcast? I haven't checked the entire collection yet, but I think so. I didn't notice we have duplicate clips of this. The listing looks complete. The BBC Radio plays are the earliest incarnation of the HHGttG and, in my view, the best. Highly entertaining! Does anyone know of a website that offers all of the episodes above in a single downloadable file (I really don't want to download all of those files individually)? Bunnicula, if you have Firefox with FlashGot extension installed along with a popular download manager like FlashGet or Get Right, it's just a simple one-click move. Right click on one of the links and select "Download all with FlashGot", select the folder for the files and you're done. I didn't notice your clip either Jason. I usually do a tag search to check if it has already been clipped, when the material was not very new. I searched for "Douglas Adams" but didn't see the HHGttG clip (there were another Adams clip in your library from The Independent). Never mind, this is a masterpiece and a duplicate set won't harm anyone THAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANK YOU! It was actually evroptmstc (I think) that clipped the mp3 files, but no matter. If you haven't read yet it yet, Adams' "Guide to the Guide" is an introduction to the BBC radio series, as well as an account of the genesis of the story in the first place. It's a great read. Also the firefox extension Downthemall would help to "Down(load) them all" I downloaded FlashGot and FlashGet, but I couldn't get the extension to work with the download program (and I couldn't be bothered to fiddle around with it). I ended up dragging each link into Flash Get and downloading them that way. |
