And you have the complete freedom to abstain from meat if you wish. However, the implication is that what is really wanted is to take this freedom away from everybody else. Right?

@ColoradoRight I'm not really sure what you mean here. The article I have shared explains the shocking environmental affects of the worlds demand for meat products. It's up to you to decide if you care at all and if that affects your personal meat consumption. I'm not telling you to do anything, just sharing an interesting article.
