The message is, there's lots of good news out there as well and we can all help create it, if we want to..

Clip poll:
Have you ever been in the news or been on TV for something good? (or if for bad, pray tell! *LOL*) I've been on the six o'clock news once (an animal welfare related issue), for a whole 18 seconds and I know we have a delightful boob beer can crushing clipper among our CM rank and file too. EG's interviews count too, I reckon. Has anyone else ever been "famous" and had their five minutes of fame? (or 18 seconds?)

*LOL* Clip song.

Hey righthand I'm not sure, if I like your equation....
So do you mean that it's equivalent would be:

Good News = Courage = Other America = Christian???

This religion and state bit stinks to high heaven.....
No different from religious integralists declaring their countries' offficial religion of state.... why can't we all just leave all dogmas out of politics and government, for a change..... War-mongers have run the World to date and they'll keep doing it unless we stop giving them credit and bonuses.... I'll snatch the poetic license out of their hands as well, while I'm at it....
humphhhh.....

Well,
My profile says I was "almost famous" once TN. I'll leave it up to our clippers to guess what that meant

Could not agree with you more. But that's my problem. Too often twisted Christianity - in reality non-Christian entirely - impinges hugely into politics in the USA. Under Bush, separation of church and state has been a joke. Looking at the present lot of presidential hopefuls, these will not change much.

We Irish were church ridden, and not that very long ago, so I know. Many an Irish politician lost out to the figurative belt of a crozier. Our progress forward from this is only matched by your disimprovement.

Karl Marx 'religion is the opium of the people' is certainly true in America. Mo...

The only time I have ever been on the news was coming out of a coal mines, under oxygen, caring the dead and injured; but there was a strong feeling of another being watching over me, comforting. Go into the bowels of the earth, you will find GOD, not satan.
