It's amazing that the media would go so far as to push the misconception that military recruiting is low. Most of our guys know what's at stake, unlike the rest of the country. Amy Proctor is a military wife, and knows the scoop. Check out the rest of what she has there about the leftist myths promulgated by the MSM and the facts that rebut them.

True. This "broken military", and poor recruitment myth is all about degrading our administration.

The only problem we have is the military is way too small for the global battle we are facing against muslims. To be realistic, to meet all our needs, we need to almost double the size of our military.

I'd like to see a compulsory national service for all young men and women. Most young men and women today are pathetic losers. If they are unwilling to serve the nation in the military, they should be engaged in support roles, fire fighting, conservation and forestry - anything to get their fat little arses away from the computer and the TV and out burning some calories.

If Clinton hadn't cut it in half and feminized it, we'd be in much better shape. As it is, I think our Generation X soldiers have surprised the crap out of the liberals with how they've risen to the occasion.

Cohesion is based on male group dynamics...and our schools have done their best to destroy or dilute male traits which are hardwired. Not to mention what you just just said there about kids on the computer instead of playing outside. Competitive sports have been changed to 'best effort' instead of 'best results'..little 6-year-old kids are getting in trouble for touching girls because it's 'sexual harrassment'....but with criminals running free and child molesters in neighborhoods, ...

It's a sign of the decline and fall of the West. Political correctness and diversity are killing us. I think the Greatest Generation was so great because they were real, and unencumbered by all the crap being fed people today. If somebody insults you or your girlfriend, it is OK to punch him in the nose. If someone breaks into your home it is OK to blow him away. If someone attacks your homeland and murders 3000 of your fellow citizens, it is OK to make war with him with all your might, and with the full 100% backing of the Nation's citizens, until the enemy is annihilated or surrenders unconditionally. If a reporter or a newspaper prints state secrets and damages the war effort, it is...

You guys are correct about the inadequate size of our military, but you are wrong to give GW a pass. Yes, Clinton and Bush Sr. slashed numbers, but GW has now been president for six years. He sa had ample time to change direction; he now owns the failure despite what happened in the past.

The greatest mistake made my Bush, Cheney and Rumsfield was and is the refusal to abandon the "smaller, but more flexible" military vision they were intent on implementing when they came into office. 9/11 changed many things and this should have been one of them. In large measure, this is the cause of the real and imagined failures in Iraq.

But regardless of the president Bush argument people are still enlisting knowing the dangers of where or when they could be sent somewhere. I enlisted in the Marines in December and leave in 2 months for basic training. Even though people are against Iraq I trust president Bush enough to go fight for him wherever I'm needed.

I think y'all are 100% right though about my generation. Alot of 16-20 year old teenagers today don't understand the importance of some things. And I see political correctness everyday of my life...And it gets old incredibly quick.

All I can really say is that something needs to change, the liberal media is going to throw us off the edge. I know that by joining, this ...
