A recent congressional resolution on Iran underscores the War Party's lock on the foreign policy 'debate'. Calling on the UN to bring charges of "genocide" against Iranian is yet another example of political pandering and congressional grandstanding that bears little, if any, relationship to reality.

The resolution is motivated by a mistranslation of a speech given by Ahmadinejad, in which he cited the Ayatollah Khomeini and seemed to call for Israel to be "wiped off the map." Yet, as this piece by Jonathan Steele, and this comment by Farsi-speaker and Middle East expert Prof. Juan Cole make very clear, that is not what the Iranian President said, or intended to say. Ahmadinejad didn't say Israel must be "wiped off the map," he said the current regime in Tel A...

The REAL Napster
Apparently only a very small handful of people on the planet think that quote was taken out of context. A Google search turns up about 335,000 hits on the topic and the vast majority over 95% say he meant what he said.

Even Aljezeera states the obvious. Just not to you.

The REAL Napster
Oh, and before anyone tries to defend those poorly placed remarks by Irans voicebox, it's far too late. Manouchehr Mottaki, the Foreign Minister tried in vain to do 'damage control' and dispel the poorly uttered words, but the damage is done and the world heard it first.

The rebuttal came almost 3 months later, but again, nobody is buying that line. The supporters of Hamas are getting sloppy and those remarks will cost them dearly.

The ones who want more war , are the ones making money from it.
Like they did with Watergate. Follow the money trail. These are the real terrorists of America. And Dick Cheney will be close to the top of the list.

Now you have it. And Cheney & Co.will not be doing the dying, just making the money, by keeping America afraid, very afraid.

Is it a case of the lunatics running the asylum?

Cheney had his money in a hedge fund that was setup so if the American dollar was to fall he wouldn't loose his shirt.

Many people would say that's smart investing, but I say that considering his seat and what information he is privy to, that would be underhanded.

say : secondary agendas to running his (according to him) non-executive office...

War is also good for the economy, look back in history.

But the fallout is incalculable due to the physiological and physical toll on people.

War is hell. It makes and breaks people.

See WP Part 3: The Cheney Vice Presidency today

and a tiny bit from...
'A Different Understanding With the President'
Cheney is not, by nearly every inside account, the shadow president of popular lore. Bush has set his own course, not always in directions Cheney preferred. The president seized the helm when his No. 2 steered
toward trouble, as Bush did, in time, on military commissions. Their one-on-one relationship is opaque, a vital unknown in assessing Cheney's impact on events. The two men speak of it seldom, if ever, with others. But officials ...
