jasontromm says: Since Big Al won't promise to consume no more power than average American, he's a hypocrite. His hypocrisy is eclipsed only by his huge ass. To his defense, it's kind of hard to run a huge mansion with the same around of energy as the average American house. We also know if he wants solar panels they have to be hidden from his neighbor's view. To his hypocrisy, he isn't trying hard enough to make his own palace green, so what kind of an example does he set for "Joe and Jane six-pack"? If Big Al wants to avoid hypocrisy, then he might have to move into an average sized house. Say 2000 square feet or less. His kids are grown, so he shouldn't need any more than that. @ jasontromm: That's a stupid argument/request. His point isn't that people should have to ruin their lives or live below what they are used to, just that there are things people can do today that will reduce their carbon footprint. You anti-gore crazies just don't seem to get it. He shouldn't HAVE to reduce his energy use to that of the average American, that's ridiculous, his homes are all larger by a good amount than the average American's home. Why should he have to live in a smaller place. That's not the point.. git it through you dense skull. I hate people who have a "do as I say, not as I do" mentality. That's exactly the attitude Fat Albert has right now. He flies on private jets, lives in a mansion and then preaches to others about their "carbon footprint." Let him fly coach instead of racking up Hummer years. especially since some unbiased scientists are disputing his claims, why should everyone else live "green" when his house is the exact opposite of Bush's private residence. maybe everyone should live like him and vote for the people who... Al Gore is just a mess. If Ed Bagley can do it, then Al Gore should try to do it. Why does he need a mansion anyway. He could downsize and create a perfect model home with Solar, Geothermal, and other types of power saving and power creation concepts. Check out "Life with Ed" and see what he has done. |
