A great legal and political argument for why homosexual marriage shouldn't be legal.

However the government can, and has in the past, suspended the rights of certain groups for the betterment of society.

I agree, but the common rebuttal to this argument is that this is what they did with interracial marriage 50 years ago, "for the betterment of society". How do you oppose this kind of thinking when there's such a big debate on the morality issue? Morality is now entirely up to one's opinion, and for what's better for society.
