Regardless of whether it is reflected on the bill as a flat fee of $1 a person or not the restaurant would recoup the cost in higher prices. No different from any business that has costs. I remember feeling extremely fortunate when I worked for a restaurant that offered dental insurance. It's a tough life as a waitron and burns and cuts are not infrequent. A lot of restaurant workers are too poor to afford missing work days. I think I would rather they got preventative care than being sick around the food I am eating. |
