I see nothing wrong with the Quran distribution here, it's not being forced on anyone or given away in schools or such. This just a lot of unnecessary whining. Take it, read it, throw it away, whatever.

This is actually very questionable. Qur'an is generally not distributed like this, the method used by this organization appears to show lack of respect for the book. Unlike Bible which you can find at all the questionable places, Qu'ran is provided respect by default hence I wonder how is this organization leaving the book at the doorstep. Something looks fishy here.

But at the same time I wouldn't read too much into it, these may just be well intentioned Muslims doing a Jehova's Witness impression and wanting to spread their faith door to door without all the crazy ass rules that an Islamic country would force on them. I have zero respect for Islam, but I do have respect for people, and I see nothing wrong with what these Muslims are doing, from an Islamic p.o.v. or otherwise.

I agree with all points above. It's very odd that they would just drop them off on door steps. Seems like that would be great disrespect to me. Who is the group promoter and what do other Muslims think about this tactic for spreading their word, I wonder?
