Sometimes you get vinegar, sometimes you get wine. Psychosis, and genius can be reflections in the same mirror. The contention is that genius reflects a reality that is yet to be seen, a psychosis reflects a reality that does not exist. This can often be subject to opinion or beyond our capacity to judge. One big difference would be the way this is interpreted by someone with LI. I can imagine a genius developing a new concept that alters our view of reality would be seen as psychotic by someone with no imagination. Everything changes. The most significant factor in the distinction, would seem to be the consequences, or products of the behavior. It would generally be accepted that genius is...
