Wow.. Linux remoted! Nice link Sage. Services like this will likely be the future of computing, but does it make anyone else nervous? I don't like the thought of not actually owning any of my information. Especially when this type of service should be available from your own computer. All the technology exists to make it work out of box with things like RDP/VNC, but unfortunately it takes a computer systems/software engineer to figure out how to configure it all properly so that it is secure and accessible from the internet. sorry about the double post. I didn't look into it very well but apparently it seems to be linux with VNC anyway. I guess thats what you are paying for, is someone to set it up Well I signed up for this and I have to say it is not working as it should. I cannot get the Java version working and I refuse to have to download the NX stuff because if I was a traveler would I want to download and install something every time I needed to use it? If I was on a public machine that would not even be an option. |
