righthand says: If it proves that the Exodus is a MYTH then so is the bible. Then so is Christianity and the Muslim faith. And they all know it. Now its not about faith. It's about hoax!!! They should be in court as crooks but the courts too have their vested interest. Think of it as proving to children that there is a Father Christmas. Ok, no one is defrauded or cheated like these religions founded on myth not faith. And all this knowledge arose from attempting to prove that the European Jews had some right to the land of Israel. No matter how creative they have been, all their archaeology efforts have proven is the opposite to their theory. The Zionist have succeeded in one thing. Bringing archaeology into disrepute! And religion! thought provoking piece...damn good clip Here's another thought: Suppose you searched Turkish state archives to discover what happened to Armenians. Suppose you searched American public-school textbooks to study massacres in the Philippines in 1898, or destabilization of governments in Central and South America in the 60s and 70s. I doubt you'd find them. Transpose those difficulties across an enormous cultural divide, then back 3,000 years in time. And it becomes pretty speculative to argue from a silence that distant that something did or didn't happen. I can remember when archaeologists were convinced the Philistines never existed. And prior to the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, it was pretty common theory that the Bibl... Remember that 12 hours ago I hadn't thought of this religious argument and still haven't formulated it as a whole so there may be temporary holes. I did know about the Exodus myth and the Roman Expulsion myth. The Egyptians recorded everything. Like the Nazis they recorded the good and the bad and in minute detail. What logic would there be to not recording the sudden departure of the raggle taggled Jews? If true it would be worthy of recording, surely. I've no desire to undermine 3 religions. None. True or false will not effect Christians nor Muslins in the belief or anything else. However it does effect the Zionists tremendously. They've relied on theses myths as the basis of acquiring ... Sure. I certainly share your view that Zionism and Jewishness are different sets, and I'm not worried or insulted by letting evidence lead where it may. My thought is simply that a historical argument from three millenia ago based on what the Egyptians wrote or didn't write in a particular moment of their long history, and whether they had motives that are not yet apparent to us, is almost impossible to fairly evaluate. It's like figuring out how much global warming is a result of a specific human activity: at the moment, we just can't say for sure. I think what is really needed - in the US, at least - is a thorough re-evaluation of the paradoxes of Christian support of the Zionist agenda... An aside first. Ever wonder that non-believers make better Christians than those claiming to be JC followers. In isolation it is conceivable that your well argued case might stand up. It's when you put them up with the other myths that have no factual historical that your case falls apart. I'm no scholar or historian so probably only know a tenth of these false myths. My instinct is to wary of any book that proposes an eye for an eye for today. Produced today, it might get on the fiction list. IMO it discourages the basic goodness of mankind and drags us backwards to militarism and violence as is clearly evidenced by the US and Israel. All except the New Testament should be banned except for 18s plus. |
