Cat's look weird in real life. He might have been crazy but his work looks like it is a pretty good description of what his mind was going through. It is like he was obsessed with the detail, and wanted to paint the way a cat impressed him with it's attitude. Some people keep a diary to record their thoughts, some blog, some paint.The pictures may be weird , but they create the connection that can be the point of art. While they may have a striking first impression, the beauty is in the detail.
