Then photograph them with your cameraphone, upload them to the web, and decode them; they function like hyperlinks. MyTago can even OCR text from photos. This works using your phone's camera: you take a picture of the "tag", email or upload it to the MyTago site, and then it returns the relevant data via the MyTago website (which you visit via your desktop PC). A similar concept is Semapedia, which allows you to print barcode-like stickers which link directly to Wikipedia articles. Semapedia is all contained within the phone, though. This one works with your phone's web browser and requires that you install a 2D barcode reader on your phone (not available on my phone). You scan the Semapedia symbol and are immediately taken to the relevant Wikipedia article. |
