skwirl, I just wanted to give you a heads up that we're going to remove all the re-clips you posted from the public site. They will still be on your page, but I honestly feel like posting so many re-clips is unfair to other users because it occupies the entire newest clips page. If many users were to do this the site would pretty much be unusable. I hope you understand.

Go ahead - They are all clips that went private when you changed the cliplimit. Since nobody can FIND them as private I was just trying to spur some conversation with topics that interest me. I can revist each site and clip them within the limits as new clips but reclip is how I identify the clip as one that went private.
Is there a limit to how mant clips I am allowed to clip per hour? I know you limit the pops and comments. I didn't know you limit the clips. What is the limit?
it occupies the entire newest clips page
Only for a little while, then they get lost in the fray once again. The only way this could really be a problem is if nobody else is clipping. But seriously, wh...

Don't get me wrong, I'm not mad, just confused as to why this is an issue? I didn't mean anything derrogatory by titling it reclip. I clip series of clips where I load up my firefox with tabs and clip a series of clips on a subject. It allows me to open possible discussions on each clip instead of one discussion on one clip of many features.
I am at clipmarks to discuss my clips, not to get pops.

Can I still reclip my private clips if I promise not to title them as reclip or clip too many at once? How many can I do in what amount of time?

Can I tag them as reclip so I can sort them? This way I can keep track of them.

no, of course not. i was just talking about the re-clips. i don't really have any specific answers to your questions. it's a tough situation in my opinion. clipmarks is certainly one of the most open, user powered sites i know of. i often marvel at how well it functions, being that so many web sites are full of spam and over-the-top mean comment threads.

That said, it seems like there's just a balance that we hope to maintain that gives everyone a somewhat equal opportunity to get their clips seen and commented on - depending on the quality of the clips as determined by other users on the site. i'm sure the folks over at google could create an algorithm of some sort to deal with it, b...
