He's concerned about "some of the tenor" and "tone"...I guess he hasn't been watching the *action* going on there. Hasn't he been aware that the Ayatollah's influence has been a "concern" of some in America and most in Israel for quite some time?

Isn't he just the King of diplomatic speak? Reminds me of the rhetoric we hear out of the UN...resulting in nothing but more abuse and oppression of people. The election was a farce; everyone knows it...even Obama. He belongs to that other half of America.

No, but those that in the GOP that are trying to exploit this situation are. What the heck is Obama supposed to do, fire off a couple cruise missiles?

Its because of American interference that Iran is in the mess that it's now. The Iranian have to figure this out. American meddling will only make it worse.

Yeah, he belongs to the half that actually uses their brains, go figure.

No...those where the half that were looking for free money, the moon, the way of least resistance, believing that *talk* can make the difference, and believing that mankind is predominately good, thinking that electing a black president would cure the sins of the past.

No brains...just "hope" and an ignorance of eternal history.

So what you're saying, jatfla is that war is the answer to all the world's problems, that you're against peace, and that you're against hope. Nice. It's people like you who are the problem.

What the heck is Obama supposed to do
As the leader of the free world he is supposed to send clear signals to the Iranian people of our support (In place of his silence, which by the way, signals diplomatic support for the regime). And, certainly, what he should not do is express a desire to "dialogue" with the clerics, while they are ordering goons in the streets to kill and harm journalists and protesters. Then, he comes out and sides with the action of the "Supreme Leader's" ( the title Obama himself conferred on the tyrant) calls for order. What pathetic embarrasment.

Free money? You mean the bankers?

The Moon? Bush had a program to return to the Moon.

Talk can make a difference, at least it is a place to start. Once you start throwing bombs its hard to revive the dead. Scratch that, impossible.

People saw the last 8 years and the clusterf$#@ of a Presidency and decided to give Obama a try. Only people who have been asleep at the switch or worse believed everything the past administration sold dismiss that as not a good reason.

I prefer hope over fear any time.

Well...keep 'hopin' cause it's not gonna happen. We're heading down and the world can see it. The community organizer doesn't have one clue. I just can't believe it's happening so quickly.

So quickly? What are you talking about? Yes America is in decline, but that is part of a larger historical process, accelerated by the blundering and rapacious nature of the last regime. Obama is holding up the fort, but not doing the real reform needed to safeguard the nation. Failure to do that will in fact lead to total collapse.

But guess what, the GOP opposes every reform measure, no matter how necessary or in fact how timid. Obama failure may well be that he has not done enough reform. We shall see.

"opposes every reform" because they are not reform, but confirmation of the policies of the last "regime" OR at worst leading to a "total collapse" of the United States..which would please you nicely.
