thinkingblue says: BUSH: "My message to him is, when we catch you playing a non-constructive role, there will be a price to pay." (Later, a National Security Council spokesman had to offer a correction, insisting the threat was aimed only at Iran, not Maliki.) Then, to add insult to injury, just a week after Bush and Karzai met in Washington, Ahmadinejad headed for Kabul with a high-ranking Iranian delegation to pay his respects to the Afghan president "in open defiance of Washington's wishes." Think slap in the face. What made this little regional diplomatic dance all the more curious was the fact that Karzai and Maliki are such weak (and weakening) American-backed leaders -- thinkingblue: Everyday in one form or another there is an item of horrifying news coming out of this Iraq occupation by the US. If that isn't enough for Congress to start thinking and acting upon withdrawal then, I guess, nothing will.. Maybe they (CONGRESS) are just waiting for the correct number to stop funding this abominable war in Iraq? How many more troops must go down in vain... 6000, 10,000, 50,000 or 150,000? After all the troops, are not their brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, none are their children so why should they care? It's only a make-believe game of amounts, to them. So, to the ones who hold the reins, pick the quantity that best suits a disgust level, while ignoring the people's cry, "BRING OUR TROOPS HOME". I have heard many, who have no skin in the game, declare, "If we pull out, it will be a victory for Al Qaeda, Osama bin Laden and the terrorists." I just say to that, they have already achieved suc... The poor man is flat out trying to keep up with what he is supposed to be doing (he's a bit like a silly blonde - NO OFFENCE - at this stage) and then he is criticized for not being able to juggle the acts. I wonder if he was able to remember who he was talking to. Tape recordings are great, eh GW? This little message of reality almost escaped me... When I caught up with it on the Tomgram, I was almost in disbelief... Afghanistan and Iraq teaming up with Iran... While Bush stands by, uttering embarrassing, idle threats with his thumb stuck up his, you know what! How much more humiliation can we, as a Nation, stand? It appears, all we have are BIG GUNS and ABSOLUTELY NO COUTH. I guess that translates into... WAR AD INFINITUM! To the American people: we will not leave Iraq until the job is done. To the Iraqi government: if you do not do the job, we will leave Iraq. Huh? With Rove gone. I believe Bush will go off the deep end. He has already compared this war to Vietnam. Even though he didn't fight in that war. Him and Fox news are stirring the poison pot. And his insanity will kill us all. |
