No offense to believers but it seems that 'the church' is hung up on sex. from 'don't do it unless...' to 'don't dare stop doing it'...

Seems to me that the church often shatters human dignity, as well.

It happens not too often that I agree with Josef Ratzinger. This is but the very case when he says that "scientific progress should not be accepted uncritically" and has to be based on ethical-moral principles.
What these ethical principles should purport, ought to be discussed on an intellectual level, forasmuch different from the comments above.
