Well, I hope he's right

Keep in mind that we here in the vast agricultural midwest grow little food. Corn crops, for instance (the current hybrids of which are largely inedible), go to livestock feed (50%), ethanol (25%), corn sweeteners (25%).
We do not feed the world - but we could, if farmers could make a living doing so. Making hogs fat and soda sweet has a more negative than positive affect on the world, IMHO.
