egoldstein says: I clipped a bunch of the new features individually so you can comment on them or ask questions. I created an upload collection to put them all in one place. Check it out here: http://clipmarks.com/clipper/egoldstein/collection/upload/ I hope you are happy with what we've been working on. Sorry it took us so much longer than we planned. here's a link to my upload collection if you want to check out the new features... http://clipmarks.com/clipper/egoldstein/collection/upload/ Oh my goodness this is awesome stuff. Great work Eric and company!!! I just noticed how the "mine" area has changed so that you can pick "my tags" and see them in either cloud view or list view.... that is so incredible. I love it! Wow. This is excellent. Great work guys Eric, Adam, Erick, and Derek, I'd like to add my voice congratulating you guys on a job well done. Boom goes the dynamite with this update! It's SO sweet it's worth repeating myself: Thumbs up guys. Do you know any other online service or web site that makes so many major updates so often? Clipmarks is competing only with itself! Really great job guys. Guys.... this update is amazing. You have clearly outdone yourselves. One of the best services I've ever used. And it only keeps getting more amazing. Bravo gang. Job well done. Can't wait to see what the future holds. Meanwhile, as a new clipper I intend to revel what is already available. These changes are great. What a wonderful surprise when I logged in. I'm sure a lot of work went into this. Thanks! Wheee, so many new things, I'm dizzy. Great job! High fives all around. 95% Excellent work as per usual. I haven't had a chance to submit my comment for a needed feature which I think is worth it so here, it may look out of place. I think the clipmarks should rotate back the slightly dated clips. For example, if I post something in public for others to view/comment, it does not take too long for the same clip to disappear at the back of the list. It would be wise if the same clip could come back to the top of the list so those who may have missed it could check back. The middle window is not too big here anyway and it doesn't take much time for any clip to disppear rather quickly, wouldn't it be nice if the clips would rotate like few times before disappearing at the back of the list? Hope I'm making some sense. I just noticed something. Y'all changed your generic user icon to a dreaded smiley just to tweak me didn't you? You did, didn't you? 85% Yea and "brown_nose" is now the default username. A note to new Clippers and Clippies who may have had your curiosity piqued by the last two comments, Wednesday is "Tweak Clipmarks Most Esteemed Clipper of the Month Day". All in good fun, of course. I am think we are going to have to start a CASG ("Clippers Addict Support Group") if they keep improving things like they are. I really do not have time for this.....yet I can't stop myself! where do i sign in for that support group thing jcfoster??...as if CM wasnt addictive enough....when the heck am I going to get any work done?? EG, you &; the guys have outdone yourselves....congrats on yet another upload well done.... Agreed, this upload is amazing. I've spent 2 hours on it without looking to one side or the other. There is one thing, though....when you save a clip to your library, it gives you the option to pop it if you haven't already? That's a frustrating little box, because it's default checked....I've popped like three clips I didn't mean to so far. I mean it's not a huge deal I don't guess unless you want pops to mean something. Am I the only one who's having trouble being normal and can't remember to uncheck the box? Sorry to bring things down, I think I'm the only person who had a problem with it. It really is a freakin' awesome update, though. I'm more than impressed. If I could be sexually attracted to a website, it would be this one. Fantastic Eric. I'm not having any problems Kris. Will post about it if I do. Guys. I'm proud. I am very proud of you, your work and my chance to participate in this great community here! One Love! Thank you so much for the great compliments. The road to an upload is often a tough one for us because it's filled with stops and starts, doubts and uncertainty. First, trying to agree on what to work on is usually our biggest challenge and most difficult step. We throw a million ideas out there (many of them come from or are inspired by you) and then we try to figure out a path that will lead to the greatest improvement in the experience for everyone within a reasonable period of time. The frustrating part is that this map gets erased and rewritten on a daily basis, so we ride that emotional roller coaster of thinking we know what we're doing, only to constantly sit back and realize ... Very well done guys!!! I especially love the seamlessness of the transition; I as user didn't have to upgrade/patch/do anything related, new look & features just revealed themselves. If other software brand changes could be so smooth.... Oh, talk about seamless...I was actually on clipmarks when the update took effect. I was using the Board, clicked on POPular, and got a whole new layout (still had Board opened in another tab, using it too). And didn't have any delays. It was spectacular. Two requests. Bring back the tag list menu in the clip composition interface. Can't figure why you dumped it. Add a "My clip exchange" button to the toolbar when you upgrade it. Also return the option of being able to choose what displays by default when clicking "mine". Thanks, fellas Good luck, GD, my request was ignored. Kjo, hopefully you know us well enough by now to know that no requests or suggestions are ignored. Just spending some time digesting it all and trying to map out the next series of action items. ...says eric while ignoring mine.... lol, sorry, EricG, that sounded really bitter. I didn't mean to. I'm not. I know you didn't ignore me, I just have baby of the family syndrome and need attention. lol, GD! maybe you should sound bitter like I did. I hope he 'know how we playin', KJ {b]Goldstein, please don't make me have to whup a smiley on yo ass. preview, Godfrey, preview foo' LOL, attaway to tell 'im, GD. Now he know how we roll. *brushes shoulda' off* Just want to add that the CM Team still has to update it's extension on Mozilla Extensions page. You're still on 0.9.8 overthere.: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1407/ And to the non-CM-team: Submit your review/comment on the FF Extension page and help improve the rating (now at 4). thanks on both fronts Djiezes! No problem. I think the FF Extension page would be a source for a lot of people to get to know Clipmarks and an updated version and a 5/5 ranking could help with that. agree. derek said he uploaded the new version a week ago but they still haven't updated it on their end. hopefully soon. Commenting and rating comming soon to a firefox near you! And to the non-CM-team: Submit your review/comment on the FF Extension page and help improve the rating (now at 4).OK, we have our reviews on Mozilla site now but I think we also need "helpful votes" for those 5-star reviews . Clicking "yes" on each review would also work well. One thing that I'm finding very hard to do is figure out how to talk about Clipmarks and its use. I'm SOOO used to sites having forums where you can discuss the site. Clipmarks doesn't seem to have that. Rather, you seem to discuss the site inline with actual Clipmarks. While I find it nice that you can discuss the site in the same interface you discuss clippings, I find it a little difficult to start a discussion without an actual clipping. Would it be possible for you to put a forum in place for discussing your site? That way we can keep conversations about feature requests and the like external to our clippings? Even more important to me than that though is can someone tell me the b... Osolage, I use ClipMarks for a wide range of reasons but the original thing that drew me here was the chance to share and discuss my bookmarks and websites in general. I post my ClipMarks to del.icio.us as a repository of my clippings. Since I want to eventually organise my ClipMarks and bookmarks this helps me. One of the things I wish ClipMarks had would be an interface with the desktop, Clipping error messages, art projects and writing projects would be kool to get help and stuff. At present its possible to copy a screenshot and open it in paint then upload it to an image hose and then clip it. It just seems like a long drawn out process to me. As for starting a new discussion t... |
