This happened to my husband with only one cow. We had this cow for almost 10 years, before she attacked him when he was walking across the field. Thankfully the other cattle had already moved into their next pasture.

Surprisingly, after that, all the related cows really did (no kidding) give him the wild eye whenever he would be in the field. This family group became so skitterish that we ended up having to sell all that attacking cow's family group. There have been no troubles since.

My husband was trampled very badly, but he was lucky. A coyote hunter saw the commotion in the field. He had a dog and they distracted the cow, so my husband could escape. We were so lucky.

Now, my husband...

This is not an isolated incident.... A lady was nailed by some cows as she walked thru a field in England a couple of weeks ago...

I always thought cows were placid creatures. I will take more care the next time I walk along a field with more of them than of me...

Cows are not to be taken lightly--but then I've also been chased by a sow in a 5 acre field I was crossing--just because she had piglets in the field on the opposite side of the field--I wasn't paying attention and if my uncle hadn't yelled at me--she'd have got me--fortunately I could climb the fence and she couldn't! Domesticated farm animals are not necessarily tame farm animals!

When I put this clip up I thought it was a unique situation. Well, I am certainly getting an education reading the comments.

Interesting for sure.

Two months ago, I was walking at Rishikesh and one of the many cows walking on the street suddenly horned me and lifted me up.
In the past, I saw several smart attacking strategies of the cattle against dogs.
I also remember a friend of mine, with his kid on shoulder, attacked by a caw: he was giving a piece of bread to a caw, in a filed, when another caw, probably the leader, run against him. He had a broken leg.
Well, it seems that caw can have strong personality.
