That the spirit ..... shoot the messenger. How many years now have they been delivering this same message? That the spirit ..... shoot the messenger.Good flippin' god, man. Don't you understand the concept of repeated messages that eventually cause the thing that gets talked about? Every hour, every day, on every channel of every media type you hear "recession". People respond economically by selling fund sectors that are still doing well, spending slows that would not happen had the word not been hypnotizing people. What WAS a slowdown in SOME sectors with minimal overlap is being blasated over the whole market.Economic consequences happen on massive scale that are STRICTLY the response to the ongoing mantra of "recession" It appears that the internationalists truly want this ... Actually, maybe that is the way to get it to it's eventual outcome and back on the upclimb - rather than a long festering. I don't know. Either way, this is not organic reporting. It is programmed mantra. Hmmm, Maybe if people were able to trust their governments more, they would be less inclined to believe some of the hype we find in the media. First, what does believing the government have to do with how the economy is performing? Second, why is it that you just can't believe the media anymore? When did the media turn away from reporting the news instead of trying to invent the news? what does believing the government have to do with how the economy is performing? Are you really suggesting that the credibility of the government has no bearing on the economy?? When did the media turn away from reporting the news instead of trying to invent the news?Probably at the same time as governments turned away from being "truthful" towards the electorate and embarked on a path of "controlling" them through lies and deceit. When the public can no longer believe their governments it is a golden opportunity for the media to fill the gap with their own distorted news to pursue their own agendas, whether it be monetary, or not. Bring back a government ,... Are you really suggesting that the credibility of the government has no bearing on the economy??So, are you suggesting the economy is based on the credibility of the government? If so, then this government must have a lot of it. Because they came to office in a recession brought on by the tech bubble bust, then there was 911. Yet that recession was one of the shallowest on record. We recovered relatively quickly, and just last quarter we had 4.9% growth despite year after year of the media attempting to talk the economy down. No matter what you think of this government, they have good economic policies. As for the media, does the fact they don't like this government make it... Second, why is it that you just can't believe the media anymore? When did the media turn away from reporting the news instead of trying to invent the news? Honestly, I have to agree with these points. Somewhere along the lines our media went from " the ears of the people" to "what sells". There are journalists in other countrys who are imprisoned our killed for reporting the truth. Here " Britany's Little Sister Is Pregnant" is a headline. With any news story you have to disect it. What is the real data, who is the source and what does it really mean? As for the media, does the fact they don't like this government make it okay for them to throw out journalism in order to bring it down? And it just isn't this administration either. For decades now the media has given much more favorable coverage of the economy when a democrat is in office than when a republican is in office. No of course it is not okay, i was not trying to justify what they did just trying to point out why they did it imo, and yes it applies no matter who is in power , if the media see an opening they will take it, but right at the moment there is huge glaring gap in the governments credibility and the media will fill it. But or course if they brought down the government because they (the media) told the truth , then that is another matter... |
