white_eagle says: Reasons why god exists, god damn you atheists! quite interesting read! People can argue about Jesus Christ, Mohammad, or whoever forever, but I realized there HAD to be a God when I began to study science in school. The universe!, that squiggly stuff you see in microscopes so tiny and so organized, the operation of the eye and the brain, the beauty in nature, and finally....in the formation and birth of a baby. None of that *just happened* or evolved into their order and precision. We all call Him "God". And if He made a planet with just the *perfect* environment for human beings to live in, then He must be very interested and concerned for each one who lives there. The dead atheists arguement: 1) God doesn't exist 2) Um... why am I still concious? 3) Oh crap There's nothing logical about these suppositions and it proves nothing. It's pure garbage. Reason, necessity, perfection do not prove god's existence. Was this clip taken from a web site put together by the evangelical right ? The question today is not whether God exists or not. There's no consensus on the definition of God. People are praying to the Gods they make out of metal, stone, neon lights and plastics forgetting about the essence of life and existence. Jatfla- great point! The complexityl of the world is amazing and you've only listed a couple of examples. Notice how our elbows are in exactly the right place so we can feed ourselves? Surely thats not fluke explosion which evolved? Has to be God. After taking a little acid trip you probably will discover a few hundred more proofs of the existence of the sky fairy. Religious humor. Love it. "I still say a church steeple with a lightning rod on top shows a lack of confidence." -- Doug McLeod "When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle. Then I realised that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me." "We must respect the other fellow's religion, but only in the sense and to the extent that we respect his theory that his wife is beautiful and his children smart." -- H. L. Mencken "The church says the earth is flat, but I know that it is round, for I have seen the shadow on the moon, and I have more faith in a shadow than in the church." ... |
