I have never thought that humour could be threatening to anyone in any way though, so this article sort of surprised me. I always thought it would be the opposite. Disarming. But then again, I'm not a man either, so what would I know?

I think the basic difference that I've seen is that males tend to use humor to compete with other men while women tend to use humor to bond with others. Men often use humor to jockey for position for other males when they are in the company of women.

I wouldn't have anything to do with a woman who wasn't funny. Humor is one of the best cures for what some call reality. Keep me laughing and i'll keep on clipping and popping.

I like to LOL and make people truly smile. An occasional 'Groan' is effective as well
