<B>Farmers are being urged to be vigilant after hundreds of chickens worth £1,700 were stolen from a Kent farm.</B>

<FONT size="2">Kent Police said 460 birds were taken from a property in Boughton Monchelsea  near Maidstone over the New Year.

<FONT size="2">It is believed the thieves cut a hole in two wire fence panels before stealing the chickens.
