Though actually you could say they show that things are often not quite what they seem to be!

I envy the photographer's creative ability to conjure up the paradoxical use of seemingly unrelated objects. Through artistically placing them together in space and photographing them in hauntingly beautiful detail, he/she introduces to a new dimension of reality.
