Very useful for the work I do with the new adolescent Chinese migrants here. They have a tough time at school with the local kids... so we have to keep boosting their egos... and try to help them avoid feeling dumb and depressed because their knowledge of the local language is insufficient for them to socialize properly with their Italian peers.... It isn't easy for adolescents... we've had a few cases of cronic depression... and some end up dropping out of the school system....
I'm going to propose a combined History and Geography assignment program for the migrant children, that will also include a theatrical finale with the aid of two local stage directors.... Hopefull...

The other important thing that occurred to me was that history, unlike geography can be particularly subjective, and it is good to remember that history should be drawn from as many independent sources as possible and practical. Perhaps also point out to them, that as history can be colored by the view of the historian, they are acting on their own view of history, which will be as valuable as the view of any historian. Groups could choose a culture to research, create a scene involving a critical phase or event, research the choice of cultures that are chosen by other groups. Before and after the parents have seen their children show what they can do, the classes could discuss with each other, how a scene compared with their own research. They can be encouraged to concentrate on the portrayal of a character, rather that themselves. Reminding them if they blow a line the audience doesn't know the script.
