It doesn't justify what Al Qaeda is doing at all though. Slaughtering innocent people is never excusable. Rat, we spend more $$ in Iraq on the War than we could get from their oil reserves. But, ss, what percentage of that money actually goes to Iraq? Untold billions spent "on Iraq" go to US and multinational contractors, not to Iraqis. American tax dollars come from the middle-class masses and are turned into revenue and profit for the wealthy CEOs and shareholders of military contractors. Your acquaintance Mr. Cheney has seen his stock options in Halliburton increase by 3000% since the war began. Halliburton didn't "make" that money - it came from your taxes, and loans against your future taxes. In that sense, we're in agreement about "Big Government."
