America is not a democracy, it is a republic. We elect representatives for us, so we don't have to go ourselves. Yes, this sounds like a dirty trick, but then I can point out that dead people, dogs, etc. have voted in Chicago, St. Louis and other large cities. Probably the only reason John F Kennedy was elected was because of Chicago returns coming in late after Daley had had a chance to round up the living and the dead and get them out to vote. Both sides do it, I'm not saying its right, I'm just saying its a fact of life, some party workers will do anything to deliver their precinct.
