What exactly is American Democracy? A worthy theory? Something to strive for? Certainly not reality America is not a democracy, it is a republic. We elect representatives for us, so we don't have to go ourselves. Yes, this sounds like a dirty trick, but then I can point out that dead people, dogs, etc. have voted in Chicago, St. Louis and other large cities. Probably the only reason John F Kennedy was elected was because of Chicago returns coming in late after Daley had had a chance to round up the living and the dead and get them out to vote. Both sides do it, I'm not saying its right, I'm just saying its a fact of life, some party workers will do anything to deliver their precinct. Diebolt's machines are actually counting backward in some cases or reverse the order of the actual vote. Method to madness? |
