Especially the low salt type.
Peanut butter (crunchy) is great for keeping a dog occupied while you eat. A tablespoon keeps the dog occupied until all the bits of nut have been swallowed. My last dog would take about 15 mins to achieve that, and was always happy with seconds.

When I was pregnant I couldn't eat meats. Just the smell would turn me off. I ate a lot of peanut butter to try to make up for it.
