Why isn't this big news? The kid has never slept. They had video of him and he looks normal. Why didn't this make news in the first month of his life?
Now they want to do brain surgery to make him sleep.

I tried searching cnn and google for this story to clip but couldn't find it. You would think scientists from NASA or ESA would be knocking down their doors to find out about his condition. If anyone has seen any articles on this or if you have an opinion please comment.
His pupils looked completely dialated in a bright hallway.
He is supposedly energetic and isn't aging rapidly or anything.
Since they think this surgery on his brain will correct this I wonder if there is a genetic marker or something that reduces the body's need for sleep?
I think this story should be bigger than it is.

Rhett has never taken a nap or gone to sleep at night, forcing his parents to keep watch day and night.

"(My husband) has the day shift and I kind of have the afternoon shift," mother Shannon Lamb said. "We share the night shift because no one can sleep in the house when he is up anyway."

Lamb said she is working extra to pay for Rhett's large medical bills. She also said her husband, David, has given up his job to care for their child.

"I would give anything for Rhett to be this normal little boy who plays and has a good time," Lamb said. "If it takes going to every single solitary doctor...

That is crazy! I can't believe he is not making headline news!

I have heard of people who sleep for months at time, but this is in the far opposite extreme.... Workaholics across the world are going to be jealous!

What would you do with all that extra time???
