Among the most insidious triggers, according to officials and environmentalists, is a practice by unscrupulous builders of deliberately setting fire to forests to render the land available for development.

This is the saddest part of the story: Destroying a forest by deliberately setting it on fire, killing trees, herbs, wild flowers, birds, animals (and as in the latest case, humans) just to reclaim a "real estate". An unbelievable greed and the worst environmental crime I can think of.
