They are hungry in Michigan (and other states) as well. They are stealing manhole covers from the streets to sell as scrap iron which fetches about $20. They cost the city about $200 to replace them. People have been stealing the copper plumbing pipes out of houses now for about 5 years as well for the same reason.
I guess I'm living a sheltered life here on my little island. That's just one more reason affirming my decision to live here and do nothing or living in the city and doing nothing. Here I can do nothing quietly.
