DarrenTooCool says: This is OLD news, but I am not ashamed to Clip it because it is such an excellent effort. The AGD have since re-made Kings Quest II and are now working on Quest for Gold! Be sure to explore the website! I loved the King's Quest series. King's Quest VI still ranks among the top PC games ever for me - funny, well written, and it played well over and over. I remeber all of those games (Space Quest and Police Quest also come to mind). Great games one and all. But did they change the interface? By today's standards it would be clumsy at best. if you're into old games, you might look into some other programs that enable you to play old games on modern systems: ScummVM: lets you play old LucasArts games such as "Monkey Island" or "Sam and Max" Exult: Allows you to play Ultima 7 Zoom: For playing the Infocom text-based games. Note: ALL of those require the original game file -- what they are are modern updates of the game _engines_, so that the old games can be played on modern OSes. (That is, you still need a copy of the old games -- check eBay.) |
