TheCatWhisperer says: Personally, i think this is a great idea.. if they can extend it to lockout known purveyors of child porn on P2P networks as well, that would be wonderful. (ps: i added "censorship" as a tag, as some people are calling this a form of censorship..I think it solves more than it harms...) I fail to see how anyone could see a restriction on child porn as censorship. Surely calling this censorship implies that one is in support of the distribution of child pornography? Hehe.. that's my point of view too, but they have "arguments" about what exactly child pornography is.. some stuff they feel has "artistic merit".. that's BS if you ask me... Artistic merit? Interesting argument. I'd like to know where that line is drawn, however. me too. there were articles about it a few ears back as some perv out west actually managed to argue it in court and win! I was appalled. He argued his "stories" and drawing (depicting young boys, etc) were artistic, and protected. Unfortunately I think the line is wherever the judge you have decides it is... Possibly, yes. And society in terms of what it thinks is acceptable for its children and what is unacceptable. This, of course, could be debated for years. |
