Just got my email this morning to go and harass my legislator to pass "reform".

I have been contacted to organize every time Biden or other Dems visit my state.

During the elections I was continuously contacted to go and harass the Republicans at their rallies.

For years I was asked to protest the war.

Now, somehow, if Republicans show up to a Democratic party it is corrupt organization.

Campaign finance reform and equal media time for 3rd parties might cure this disease. But we would rather shadow box and nip at each others ankles while the vital issues get ignored, buried or oversimplified to death.

I am all for health care reform. There are things that need to be fixed. Fraud is the major problem. But going about it this way is NOT a good way...ie, drastic, quick, uninformed, and without doctors, insurance, and hospitals input. This is such an important issue that it needs much thought about long-term consequences and short-term implementation.

Not for one minute do I believe this is a "phony grassroots movement" but an awakening of the American citizens that too much "change" too quickly solves no problems.

Congress & Pres. Obama are trying to push this through too quickly, that always leads to bad law. The bill has now written will cause vast amounts of overspending, fraud & just outright waste. All one has to do is look at medicare & the VA to see how the government is currently overspending and outright waste. We read in the papers all the time about doctors, hospitals, etc. being charged with fraud in medicare and medicaid. What makes anyone think it will be any different with this bill currently before Congress.

I think doctors and insurance have had their opportunity to add "input" over the years which amounts to "screw you".

If we want real reform then we need to look at the actual largest cost of "health" care.

DRUGS.

The MOST profitable segment (or do you think the newspapers, magazines and tv ads are gifts to the struggling pharmaceutical companies?) is BIG PHARM.

They WANT this "reform" just like they wanted to "help" the seniors. And their own record profits.

Follow the dollar folks, we will all be required to be pharma's guinea pigs (bills already pending to make our children forced lab rats) and be forced to spend all our money on health care. Rather we need it or want it won't matter.
