When two side ignore the smaller details and focus on a large item that they can both argue over - and is difficult or near impossible to prove either way.

Fact ...
However small, tiny or arguably insignificance - every flame, even a single match - affects the air around it ... and so affect the atmosphere.
Therefore ...
It would be a good idea to limit that affect, to reduce the number of 'matches' to the lowest number possible.

Why use a 'widget' that uses 10 'thingys', when you could use a 'whatsit' that only uses 9 'thingys' - you get the idea
