masbury says: President Rafael Correa poses only one condition, but it's a doozy Americans, especially Republicans, have always had a double standard. What's good for America concerning a foreign nation isn't good for that foreign nation concerning America. How would Americans feel if a foreign nation invaded the US during Bush's administration and put the executive branch to the sword, because someone in the US orchestrated a terrorist attack on their nation? (incidentally, something that the US government has done regularly, through the CIA) Many Americans seem to think that they're special in the world, and that they should have rights and privileges that other citizens of the world don't have. That is simply not the case. We are all world citizens, with equal rights to each other. Great answer! |
