merrie says: Once again, this suggests that there is too little adult supervision of a candidate unaccustomed to speaking on the world stage about issues in which there are lots of code words, indeed in which every word (e.g. “preconditons,” “immediate withdrawal”) has meaning to Americans’ foes and friends. He needs to have supervisors to supervisor the adult supervisors. He needs to.be himself and he can be, not taking his speeches as mined battlefield. Politic is consist not only from speeches. He needs to.be himself and he can beYou just proved the point of this article! LOL. The guy is clueless on foreign policy and it isn't something that can be learned overnight. You would think he would have some understanding of the world but he seems to be stuck in academic liberalism without the real world applications. I believe that Obama knew exactly what he was saying when he shockingly declared that Jerusalem should remain "undivided". My jaw dropped when I heard him say it. I struggled to understand such a provocative statement from Obama. Then I thought that more than anything, his statement would be seen as a blow to the Palestinians. The ridiculous Republican claim that Hamas "endorsed" Obama was being hammered as a talking point. I figured he was trying to piss off Hamas and get them to publicly condemn him. Sure enough, the next day, Hamas "unendorsed " Obama. Obama later backed off his stat... Please. He mis-spoke once again. You should work for him though. You have much better explanations than his own press team. Hamas "unendorsed" ObamaThere's a lot of "unendorsing" and "backing-off" over his foreign policies! He mis-spoke once again.Look, I'm not going to deny that Obama is capable of misspeaking; but using the phrase "undivided" when referring to Jerusalem is not a "misspeak". It is calculated and pointed. There's a lot of "unendorsing" and "backing-off" over hisNothing about Obama's foreign policy has changed. A while ago a spokesman for Hamas spoke positively about Barack Obama. He praised Hillary Clinton in the same statement, and I'll leave it to you to decide why that was never an issue. As I stated before, Obama was unfairly smeared as "Hamas' candidate" and he needed Hamas off his back. It was an astute political move, not a change in policy. It was an astute political move, not a change in policy. Hamas Un-'Endorses' Obama Hamas had never actually endorsed Obama. In April, Hamas political adviser Ahmed Yousef told WABC radio that "we like Mr. Obama. We hope he will [win] the election and I do believe he is like John Kennedy, great man with great principle, and he has a vision to change America to make it in a position to lead the world community but not with domination and arrogance." The campaign of Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., at the time characterized this as an endorsement, and made hay out of the kind words. But today it wasn't just the terrorists of Hamas expressing chagrin at Obama's speech. Palestinian presiden... It was an astute political move, not a change in policy.Hamas Un-'Endorses' Obama http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2008/06/hamas-un-endors.html Remember, all you conservatives voted for a dunce who mistook the Prime Minister of Canada for a dish of gravy, fries, and cheese curds. Good job. gravy, fries, and cheese curds.Gross |
