Water. It's disappearing all over the world due to bad agricultural practices and the paving over of the earth so the aquifers don't replenish.

I fly quite frequently. I've never noticed this "paving over the Earth" you are speaking about.

If you actually look around...where does all the rainwater in the inhabited areas of the planet go? From the cities and suburbia, its all drained away to go to a river or ocean instead of back into the aquifers, which is upsetting the natural balance of water distribution cycles, draining lakes. And overuse of water from Bi agriculture is an added problem. Think about it. Use you imagination. Don't look down from an airplane and expect to see the natural water recycling system, Willhelm. Duh.

Along the Mississippi in Iowa, a levee broke. Flood waters dropped by eight inches on the other side of the river, miles upstream. Imagine how widely water used to spread, and how deeply it would soak in. But now the rivers are contained, floods rise much higher, and most of the water rushes to the Gulf.
Indeed, every drop that falls on every concrete street is pulled off the land, into a storm sewer, then a creek, a river, and the Gulf (in the central US). It is a vast amount - and it adds directly to floods rather than soaking in.

I wouldn't expect that. I would, however, expect to see evidence we are paving over the planet. By the way, when it comes to matters such as these, I will use my sense, reason, and intellect - not my imagination.
