We won't let others lead us.

When I was visiting churches after moving to a new area about 10 years ago, one of the churches I visited was entirely black. They were the nicest and most receptive of all the churches I visited. I did not find the message entirely appropriate, however.

I go to a very, very, very large church. We do have all races involved but it is a struggle to break through and reach the numbers we would like to come into our church.

What do numbers matter in a church. Is not the church the people present? The fact that they are there should be something to rejoice in itself.

Numbers was perhaps the the wrong choice of words, mcfinn. Never mind the obvious cynicism displayed in the remark itself. Referring to clip I think it is obvious that I meant in terms of more diversity in membership and visitors.
