Gun can never act on their own. So, no, guns are not responsible for anything.

It only takes a little research to discover the truth about gun ownership vs crime. In the places where guns are either mandatory or heavily encouraged, the crime rates are the lowest in the world. In the places where guns are banned, prohibited, and restricted, the crime rate is astronomical.

Laws never prevent a criminal from committing a crime. But criminals are most definitely deterred from committing a crime if they know others are packing.
